APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION

I. LOCAL CANDIDATES (MALAYSIA CTIZEN) |
| |
- Application must be submitted online via http://www.utem.edu.my (Quick Links --> Postgraduate Application).
- For programmes by coursework, a completed application form should be submitted before the advertised closing date. However, applications for research programmes are open throughout the year.
- A completed form should include the following :-

- TWO (2) copies of a recent passport-sized photograph
- TWO (2) copies of certified an Identity Card
- ONE (1) certified copy of SPM/MCE/Diploma/Degree and other Professional qualifications
- ONE (1) certified copy of academic transcript
- The processing fee of RM30.00 in the form of a Postal Order/Money Order/Banker's Draft payable to the "Bendahari Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka"
- A Letter of Guarantee from your sponsor (for those under scholarships/sponsorships)
- A Preliminary Research Proposal with the maximum of 5 pages (applicable to application for Master's By Research and all PhD programmes

II. INTERNATIONAL CANDIDATES |

- All international students are required to register as Full-Time students at UTeM and should have the financial capability to meet the course fees and living expenses for the full duration of the programme.
- The medium of instruction and research for international students is English. Hence, international candidates must have a minimum TOEFL score of 500 for Masters and 550 for Doctorate, or a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 for Masters and 6.0 for Doctorate.
- Application must be submitted online via http://www.utem.edu.my (Quick Links --> Postgraduate Application).
- A completed form should include the following :-

- TWO (2) copies of a recent passport-sized photograph
- TWO (2) copies of certified passport
- TWO (2) copies of certified an academic transcript
- TWO (2) copies of certified Degree and Professional qualifications
- The processing fee of RM60.00 in the form of an International Banker's Cheque payable to the "Bendahari Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka"
- A letter of financial support. A self-financing international applicant must provide an acceptable letter of financial guanrantee from his/her banker or relevant financial institution.
- A Preliminary Research Proposal with the maximum of 5 pages (applicable to application for Master's By Research and all PhD programmes
- A letter of certification from the respective Ministry of Education verifying nationality and academic qualifications of an applicant. For an international student applying within Malaysia, the certification letter can be obtained from the Embassy/Consulate/High Commission of the applicant's home country situated in Malaysia.
- Academic transcripts and supporting documents must be certified as true copies by a senior public official from the applicant's country or from Malaysia.

STEPS TO COMPLETE THE ONLINE APPLICATION
- For new user, please click "New User"
- Click "Online Application" menu and fill up the relevant information/fields.
- Fill up all the Four (4) Sections :
i) Personal Information
ii) Field of Study
iii) Academic Achievement, English Proficiency and Working Experience
iv) Referees, Financial Support and Next-of-Kin
v) And Upload Research Proposal (applicable to application for Master's By Research and all PhD programmes)
- Click "Application Checklist" to ensure that you have completely filled in all the required sections (All sections must be ticked)
- Click "Download" Menu to download "Referees Form" and submit the form (completely filled-in) as hardcopy supporting documents.
- Click "Registered User" to edit your application and key in your I.C No./Passport, then click "ENTER".
